R3 Impact is a psychologically informed CIC working with young people aged 11–30 who are at risk of, or already known to, the criminal justice system. We intervene earlier, differently, and with compassion.

Intervening earlier.
Intervening differently.

Young people are disproportionately drawn into the criminal justice system — particularly those from low socioeconomic backgrounds, with inner-city boys bearing the greatest impact.

Current systems intervene too late, operate in silos, lack psychologically informed practice, and often reinforce stigma rather than building self-efficacy. R3 Impact exists to change that.

Driven by lived experience, compassion, and a genuine vested interest in our community, we provide interventions that are quality over quantity — reaching young people through schools, communities, and the criminal justice system itself.

Our Vision

A future where young people from marginalised inner-city communities are equipped with the psychological tools, opportunities, and support systems needed to avoid criminality, recover from criminal justice involvement, and thrive as empowered members of society.

Our Mission

R3 Impact exists to rehabilitate, recover and rebuild — providing psychologically informed interventions for young people at risk of or known to the criminal justice system, while upskilling the professionals and communities who support them.

The R3 Model

Three interconnected pillars of intervention — each informed by CBT approaches, Social Learning Theory, and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.

Pillar 01

R3habilitate

Target: 11–30 year olds at risk of entering the CJS

We intervene before criminality takes hold — equipping young people with consequential thinking, problem-solving skills, and psychological safety. Our group programmes run in schools and colleges across inner-city communities.

We challenge youth offending culture narratives head-on, offering a space for young people to talk openly about mental health and build genuine self-efficacy.

Pillar 02

R3cover

Target: Young People known to the CJS

For those already known to the criminal justice system — in custody, on probation, or completing community orders — we operate with the mantra: no mistakes, only learning.

We deliver group interventions and 1:1 mentoring alongside practical support into education, training, employment, and mental health services.

Pillar 03

R3build

Target: Professionals, communities & families

The system around young people needs rebuilding too. We upskill frontline workers, schools, faith groups, youth clubs, and parents — moving from punitive approaches to psychologically informed, educational ones.

We break silo working and strengthen the entire ecosystem around young people so the community itself becomes part of the solution.
